About CCA Flex

CCA Flex is an asynchronous K–12 virtual program offering families a flexible and personalized educational experience. Designed to integrate with home routines and family goals, CCA Flex empowers learners to work at their own pace through multimedia-rich instruction, voice-and-choice learning pathways, and real-world applications. The program emphasizes strong family engagement, learner autonomy, and whole-child development, supported by a dedicated team of certified educators.

Position Overview

The K–5 CCA Flex Teacher serves as both the academic instructor and learning facilitator within an asynchronous, virtual learning environment. This educator is responsible for delivering personalized, mastery-based instruction aligned with state standards while building meaningful partnerships with families to support learner success. CCA Flex Teachers foster learner agency, academic growth, and social-emotional development through innovative practices tailored to individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

Personalized Instruction & Mastery-Based Learning

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction using Edio and other digital platforms, ensuring alignment with state and national standards. While learners primarily engage in the program asynchronously, synchronous session support may be required to support skill mastery.
• Develop or approve personalized learning plans (PLPs) and project-based assessments that allow learners to demonstrate mastery in various formats.
• Monitor academic progress and provide timely, standards-aligned feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Use alternative assessments, multimedia tools, and content variants to promote learner mastery and accessibility.
• Ensure completion of CCA benchmarks as appropriate.
• Use rubrics and clearly defined success criteria to support learner understanding of expectations and learning goals; engages in feedback loops (using written or verbal communication) with learners as they progress in skill level and work toward mastery.

Learner Support & Case Management

• Serve as the primary teacher and case manager for assigned learners across multiple grade levels and subjects, ensuring progress across academic and developmental domains.
• Conduct regular check-ins to assess academic performance, engagement, and overall well-being.
• Adjust instruction and support strategies based on assessment data, learner needs, and family input.

Family Engagement & Empowerment

• Build collaborative partnerships with learning coaches and caregivers to co-design instructional support strategies.
• Provide consistent communication and resources that empower families to actively participate in their child’s learning experience.
• Offer individualized coaching and guidance to support family-led instruction in the home.

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain ongoing communication with learners and families through Edio, video conferencing, and phone contact.
• Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and program leaders to support continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in required team meetings, professional learning sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

Community Building in a Virtual Environment

• Facilitate learner connection and engagement through optional live sessions, virtual activities, and group projects.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning culture that supports peer interaction and social development.

Data-Informed Decision Making

• Administer and analyze benchmark and formative assessments to identify learner strengths and areas for growth.
• Use data to revise learning plans, differentiate instruction, and provide targeted academic interventions.
• Document learner progress and maintain records in accordance with school and program expectations.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate (appropriate subject area K–5)
• Experience in online or brick-and-mortar teaching settings
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools (e.g., LMS, video conferencing, progress monitoring)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
